Download: setup files are corrupted

I get a message "The set up files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program." when I try to run the installation program I just downloaded. What's going on?

Due to unclear reasons you might get the message mentioned above while trying to run the just downloaded copy of MusiCAD.

• First workaround might be downloading a second or third time, overwriting the first one. Downloads sometimes do get corrupted, especially rather large ones (see how to fix broken download).
• MusiCAD may be downloaded from several locations running from different servers, so you could try another location:
  * http://www.musicad.com/download
  * http://www.musicad.nl/download
• If you register with the MusiCAD-forum at http://en.musicad.org/forum you may download the software from there.
