License expired?
Post

I have been using MusiCAD for about a year. When I created a new file today and tried to save it, MusiCAD appears to have gone back to demo mode - i.e., it required the entry of a code to do the save. Has the license expired or something?
Licenses do not expire - at least they shouldn't.
However, sometimes the license does not appear to be valid anymore.
If hardware had been changed, or the registered name had been altered, the license will - of course - not be valid anymore.
First thing to try is walk again through the registration form while running MusiCAD [Help|Regstration]. Use the flashlight button to submit the actual installation request information. In most cases this will re-enable the license. If necessary we'll provide the original license again.
If your hardware had been (radically) changed (or you are using another computer) you'll have to buy a new (second) license (currently 10 euro).

Yes it does.
Like other pre-version-7 programs, the changed file locations and the new library storage in Windows 7 will not be handled by MusiCAD in Windows-7 style, but in Window-XP compatible style. However, most users will never notice the difference.

No it doesn't...

Yeah, MusiCAD does not use the Win-7 library style. I can see some possible benefit, but the way libraries are implemented is (imo) way too complicated for non-business use. MusiCAD may be used on XP, OSX/Wine, Linux/Wine where no libraries are available (afaik).
